Hello Karen old friend,
It's been a very unusual morning to say the least. As I entered my office this morning on Wall Street I proceeded to switch on my computer & go directly to (rte.ie) as I do every morning to keep myself up to date with the Irish sporting seen. In doing so this morning I encroached on an article regarding one Dervla O'Rourke, I have to admit that I was not familiar with her achievements but at that moment "Karen Shinkins" entered my head. I was more than curious to know what road you had taking after you great achievements and career of the past so I simply typed you're name into Google and up popped Karen Shinkins Blog!!!
I have to admit it was a great read and quiet funny and writen with great quirkieness to say the least. Any way Karen I just wanted to say a very big hello to you and hope you the best in life.
As for myself I have a beautiful wife, whose name is Heidi and hence her name she is from the Black Forest in Germany, we have two gorgeous girls to date, Lina & Amy aged 2 & 6 weeks. We live out in a quaint old village called Huntington on Long Island so I have a substantial commute in the morning and evenings but it's absolutely worth it...(Happy Wife Happy Life)....On that note we will be relocating to Germany by the end of September of this year in the hope of finding more quality of life & tons more time for my little family.
From an old friend I truly wish you all the happiness in life and keep up the great camera work. It seems that you’re already where you need to be in life which is a wonderful thing.

OMG. Lofty. Was not expecting to pull up my comments and see a message from yourself. What a total surprise. A good one. And you up there in New York. Too funny. We both living in the same country and had no idea.
I'm glad to see your happy. 2 little girls eah? Thats got to be a handful. But I'm sure their adorable. With the German/Irish genes, how could they not be, right? But your leaving New York. How long you been living there. I hope you've been brushing up on your German, you'll need it come the end of September.
Hey, I know a guy who works on Wall Street, Nick Sweeney. I know Wall Street is huge and asking you that is probably right up there with the "your from Ireland? I know a girl from Ireland. Mary is her name. Do you know her?" question So my apologies for that slip up.
Anyway, I'm struggling for any info to share. If your reading the blog then you know what I'm up to pretty much, so not sure what I can add. Let me know if I'm missing anything and I can fill you in.
